Wearoid

A tech-fashion brand that would combine wearable technology and sophisticated clothing. The brand felt chic and techy, with an easy-to-remember name that said it all. It wasn’t just a concept in the creator’s mind; one had to win a hackathon some years prior by making an accessory that could improve a woman’s health.

  • Conceptual creator and Visionary

  • Creative concept — Brand naming — Branding strategy — Visual direction

Words wear + droid were chosen to express both fashion and technology. An electrical circuit became an inspiration for the logo. Referring to high-end brands inspired the choice of the typography. The moodboard featured some futuristic women dressed in technological attire. I set out to showcase how fashion and technology might seamlessly connect and integrate some futurism into our ordinary lives. Of course, it carried elements of dark minimalism, since I wanted to show off my authenticity as a creator.

History

The concept got me way before the unified tech-fashion brand idea. In 2016, in just one weekend, my team and I designed and built a bra accessory that senses and alerts poor posture. While rushing, I called the product Understraight, but rebranded later to Corelette (core + bralette). We won the hardware track!
